Job Description

This is a permanent, full time position, working Monday – Friday 09:00 – 17:00.
As a Stock Controller, you will maintain accurate stock levels by monitoring deliveries, liaising with suppliers and coordinating shipments, while ensuring inventory costs are controlled.
- Complete procurement administration which will include creatingand uploading purchases orders, generating reports and ensuring correct purchasing codes are applied.
- Maintainaccurate records of supply usage and stock trends.
- Place orders for stock, laboratory supplies and equipment as needed.
- Receive and receipt stock accurately, ensuring timely updates in the system.
- Maintain and manage inventory, including stock rotation, expiry dates checks, and monitoring stock levels against security.
- Monitor stock levels and costs to avoid overstocking while maintaining operational availability.
- Liaising with Operations Manager to have accurate information of the lab workflow.
- Work closely with suppliers to monitor deliveries and coordinate any delays.
- Maintain stores to an acceptable standard, ensuring good laboratory practice (GLP) is followed.
- Support the Quality Assurance by assisting with supplier reviews.
- Always adhere to company SOP’s, ISO 15189, and Quality Management System (QMS).
- Taking responsibility for the Health and Safety of yourself and your colleagues.
- Communicating effectively with internal teams to ensure a smooth flow of work.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a stock / inventory control role.
- Computer literate – able to enter data accurately and be confident handling administrative duties.
- Practically minded, has a hands on approach to work.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedure.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage workloads efficiently.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
