The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.

Working hours are Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm. Hybrid working is available.

Travel to other Eurofins UK sites may be required.

As a SQL/SSRS Reporting Analyst you will play a vital role in supporting and optimizing the performance of our next-generation LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) and other Eurofins IT applications. Your primary focus will be the design, development, and maintenance of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports, ensuring business-critical reporting needs are met with accuracy, efficiency, and clarity.

You will work collaboratively with business analysts, IT teams, and stakeholders to understand reporting requirements, develop robust solutions, and support day-to-day system functionality. Additionally, you will manage incidents and bugs through structured support processes and ensure adherence to SLAs and change management standards.

This role is ideal for candidates with a background in application support and strong SSRS development experience, looking to grow their knowledge within LIMS systems and laboratory-based IT integration.

Main Duties

  • Design, develop, and maintain SSRS reports based on business requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting needs and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Ensure high performance, accuracy, and usability of all reports.
  • Conduct regular performance tuning and optimization of reports.
  • Own the SSRS report lifecycle, including deployments and version control.
  • Provide documentation and training for end-users on accessing and interpreting reports.
  • Drive best practices in SSRS development and guide junior team members.
  • Monitor, investigate, and resolve incidents related to LIMS and reporting systems.
  • Perform root cause analysis and ensure incidents are appropriately tracked and closed.
  • Collaborate with support and business teams to prioritize and triage tickets.
  • Maintain service levels in accordance with SLAs.
  • Identify and analyse recurring issues, offering insights and metrics to inform product improvements.
  • Support data migration, maintenance activities and coordinate changes with the development team.

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in developing and managing SSRS reports.
  • Proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with other BI/reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Crystal Reports.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, data migration and ETL processes.
  • Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of B2B integrations and enterprise application ecosystems.
