Position Overview
Eurofins is seeking a Molecular & Cellular Biology Research Associate to support molecular biology, cell culture, and protein expression activities at a client site in Cambridge, MA. This is an entry‐level, hands‐on laboratory role ideal for a recent graduate or early‐career scientist with a foundation in molecular or cellular biology who is eager to grow in a dynamic, team‐oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with DNA plasmid design, cloning, purification, quantitation, and quality control
- Perform routine molecular biology workflows including PCR setup, ligations, and DNA purification, including high‐throughput processes using liquid handling automation
- Prepare samples for sequencing and support Nanopore sequencing operations, including basic data handling upon training
- Maintain mammalian cell lines using aseptic technique and support twice‐weekly transient transfection workflows
- Assist with protein and antibody purification and quantitation using automated equipment under supervision
- Support cell‐free peptide expression workflows using established automated platforms
- Accurately document experimental procedures and results in client‐provided Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELNs)
- Assist with data review, basic analysis, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives as trained
Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, or a related life‐science field
- 0–2 years of academic or industry laboratory experience
- Familiarity with basic molecular biology techniques (e.g., PCR, DNA prep, cloning concepts)
- Hands‐on experience or coursework involving mammalian cell culture and aseptic technique preferred
- Ability to follow detailed protocols and work effectively in a collaborative laboratory environment
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Information
The position is onsite, full‐time, first shift, Monday through Friday. Candidates must be flexible to adapt to schedule changes requiring shift changes and/or weekend work, and overtime may be required as needed.
