We are seeking a Scientist - HPLC & Dissolution Testing to support analytical method development, qualification, and routine testing within a dynamic laboratory environment. This role will work closely with client scientists and play a key role in executing chromatographic and dissolution-based assays. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with HPLC/UPLC and USP dissolution testing, along with strong technical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine analytical testing on submitted samples using HPLC, GC, and dissolution methods
- Support method development, optimization, and qualification activities
- Troubleshoot instrumentation and assist in resolving basic method-related issues
- Serve as a backup analyst across additional analytical techniques
- Provide feedback to client scientists on assay performance and improvements
- Maintain accurate, compliant documentation and support general lab organization
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline with 3-4 years of industry experience
- Master's degree with 1+ year of industry experience
Required technical experience
- HPLC / UPLC operation, troubleshooting, and optimization
- USP Dissolution Testing (Apparatus I & II)
- Strong understanding of chromatographic principles
Preferred experience
- Gas Chromatography (GC)
- Particle size analysis
- Spectroscopy techniques (MS, NMR, IR)
- Ability to work in a regulated (GMP) environment with strong attention to detail
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. The position is full-time, Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑5 pm. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Cambridge, MA, are encouraged to apply.
