As Market Development Manager Specialty - Genetics you will open new business and develop existing business for Eurofins Clinical Diagnostics by exploiting and opening opportunities for Eurofins. There is a high expectation on winning new business prospects as well as managing the on-boarding process to ensure retention of new business is strong. You will have good knowledge of the Clinical Testing laboratory industry with the desire to win new, profitable and sustainable business for Eurofins. You will also maintain and grow the current customer base by offering ongoing support and identifying new areas for growth and development.
Job Responsibilities
- To drive the commercial new sales accounts and raise the bar in terms of attention to detail, structure and the service offered to the customer base to maximise its full potential.
- To keep up to date with the range of testing offered by Eurofins, as well as current legislation and industry best practice, and to advise customers on appropriate testing in consultation with the Managing Director and operations team as appropriate.
- To understand the value drivers of Eurofins to drive new business and identify profitable and commercial opportunities to grow revenue and market share through new products and the extension of services to current and new clients and emerging markets.
- To gather and collate all market intelligence and data covering market trends and penetration, competitors, products/services and routes to market for clinical diagnostics, referrals and clinical genetics.
- Lead any tender opportunity that you uncover or get presented with.
- Deliver strong and detailed presentations to customers.
- Be highly motivated to grow the sales number, continuation to develop strategically to allow great efficiency.
- Be familiar with customer specific requirements and standards.
- Work in a collaborative manner with other divisions in Eurofins.
- Provide a high level of internal and external customer care.
Qualifications
- Educated to degree level.
- Current and valid driving licence.
- Knowledge of commercial customer focused operations & sales processes in a clinical lab setting.
- Sales experience with a scientific background or understanding.
- Proven experience in working to and exceeding targets.
- Effective communication skills both written and oral.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Problem-solving skills.
