Eurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company that provides analytical testing services across multiple industries. In the Clinical Diagnostics division, we are looking for a Market Development Manager (B2B) to open new business and develop existing business. No visa sponsorship is available for this role. Working hours are Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:00. Regular travel across the UK will be required.
Job Responsibilities
- Drive new sales accounts and raise the bar in terms of attention to detail, structure and the service offered to the customer base to maximise its full potential.
- Keep up to date with the range of testing offered by Eurofins, as well as current legislation and industry best practice, and advise customers on appropriate testing in consultation with the Managing Director and operations team as appropriate.
- Understand the value drivers of Eurofins to drive new business and identify profitable and commercial opportunities to grow revenue and market share through new products and the extension of services to current and new clients and emerging markets.
- Gather and collate all market intelligence and data covering market trends and penetration, competitors, products/services and routes to market for clinical diagnostics, referrals and clinical genetics.
- Lead any tender opportunity that you uncover or get presented with.
- Deliver strong and detailed presentations to customers.
- Be highly motivated to grow the sales numbers and develop strategically to allow great efficiency.
- Be familiar with customer specific requirements and standards.
- Work in a collaborative manner with other divisions in Eurofins.
- Provide a high level of internal and external customer care.
Qualifications
- Educated to degree level.
- Current and valid driving licence.
- Computer literate.
- Knowledge of commercial customer‑focused operations & sales processes in a clinical lab setting.
- Sales experience with a scientific background or understanding.
- Proven experience in working to and exceeding targets.
- Excellent verbal, written & reading skills.
- Effective communication skills both written and oral.
