Eurofins E&E CML is a profitable Certification Body and Test Laboratory based in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire and is part of Eurofins network of laboratories. Our team consists of around 40 staff. We evaluate, test, and certify products designed for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. We provide these services for numerous certification schemes including IECEx (International), ATEX (European Union), UKEX (United Kingdom) and Japanese Certification. Our customers are located around the globe, primarily manufacturers of process and industrial equipment used in the oil and gas, chemical and mining industries.
Responsibilities:
- Assessment of products designed to national, regional and international standards.
- Preparation of technical reports, technical files and certificates.
- Preparation of quotations.
- Technical advice meetings with clients.
- Senior roles may include responsibility for the technical review of draft reports and mentoring trainee certification engineers.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are essential as is attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple activities at once, a collaborative work ethic and a demonstrable desire to deliver outstanding service internally and externally. An applicable degree, HND or HNC technical qualification is required, electronics or electrical subjects are preferred. Candidates must demonstrate a willingness to “get involved” and form part of our continued success. Experience in assessing products against the requirements of EN/IEC 60079-11, or the designing of a product to the same standards. Experience in other Ex standards is also advantageous.
We offer a competitive salary with discretionary bonus. Following your probationary period, we also offer private healthcare (including cash plan), contributory pension, life assurance, flexi-leave, flexitime, choice on working location (home/office/hybrid) and company sick pay.
