Monday - Friday. Part time. 17.5 hours per week.

  • Maintain the Purchase Order systems for the Edinburgh Facility.
  • Purchase and create orders for office supplies, laboratory equipment, consumables, IT equipment and other ad-hoc needs.
  • Support ad-hoc investigations that facilitate study management, specifically related to equipment and/or facilities.
  • Perform routine inspections and organise where required maintenance of the building fabric (walls, floors, ceilings, fixtures).
  • Coordinate and oversee minor repairs and liaise with external contractors when necessary.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records of maintenance schedules, supplier contracts, and purchase logs.
  • Assist in facility setup for conduct of clinical, consumer and cosmetic studies.
  • Reception duties where required.
  • Set up logistics and couriers for shipments.
  • Assist in maintaining H&S, Equipment and Building servicing calendar.
  • Liaise with internal teams to assist in sourcing materials and equipment for clinical, consumer and cosmetic studies.
  • Take minutes where required during facility meetings and follow up on action items relating to facilities and purchasing.
  • Provide general administrative support to the wider technical team as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining documents and filing as required.
  • Responsible for ensuring that UK health and safety legislation is maintained and helping to ensure that the working environment is kept in a clean and tidy manner with due attention to the careful maintenance of all laboratory fittings and equipment.
  • Knowledge of Eurofins Edinburgh QMS in order to ensure compliance at all times with the policies, procedures and associated documents which are referred to in the manual, specifically provide your input on facility related areas.
  • To assist through operating best practice in order to meet the requirements of the ISO 9001 accreditation standard.
  • Provide a high level of internal and external customer care.

Qualifications

  • Financial invoice processing experience.
  • Computer literate with great typing skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Knowledge of telephone systems with good telephone manner.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Good customer care skills.
  • Numeracy Skills.
  • Enthusiasm, energy and a driven outlook.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Maths and English at GCSE C or above, or equivalent.
