This is a full time, permanent position working 37 hours per week flexibly between 07:00 – 19:00.
As a Formulation Scientist you will work within the formulation group to support the client in both Manufacturing and R&D efforts by conducting formulation, pre‑formulation activities with analysis and characterization of the samples generated.
Job ResponsibilitiesAs a Formulation Scientist, you will support the development of oral solid dosage forms through the planning and execution of small scale manufacturing and pre‑formulation activities. This includes setting up and operating equipment, completing clean downs, and delivering high quality laboratory work across blending, compression, coating, encapsulation, and in‑use stability studies.
You will carry out a range of product and materials characterization activities, including particle size analysis, tablet performance testing, powder flow assessments, and the evaluation of formulation attributes such as rheology and polymer behaviour.
As a Formulation Scientist, you will interpret experimental data and translate findings into clear, scientifically robust documentation, contributing to laboratory reports, development protocols, technical summaries, and other project‑critical deliverables.
You will support the design, prototyping, scale‑up, and optimisation of drug product formulations and their associated manufacturing processes, while also contributing technical insight to downstream activities such as control strategy development, technology.
