The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 £ per year.

Please note, this is a Fixed Term Contract until September 2026. Working hours are Saturday and Sunday, 10am - 6pm. For the first two months, you will be required to work Monday and Tuesday, 10am - 6pm for training purposes.

As a Sample Registration Technician you will register all food microbiology samples for analysis in a timely and accurate manner, and transfer to the laboratory as appropriate.

Job Responsibilities
  • Accept deliveries of samples/equipment onto site.
  • Accurately and rapidly register samples/equipment for analysis and dispatch samples to the relevant business location.
  • Liaise with couriers and customers and Eurofins drivers to enable timely collection and dispatch of work to external and internal facilities.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and safe working practice to ensure the safety of self and colleagues.
  • Ensure that all equipment is kept within recommended limits for calibration and maintenance in order to adhere to quality targets.
  • Have a clean as you work mentality.
  • Ensure that any relevant sample logs are kept up to date.
  • Responsible for correct temperature storage of samples on receipt and prior to processing.
  • Responsible for the logging of samples onto the in house IT System.
  • Answer incoming calls and make outgoing calls to follow up on customers.
  • Communicate with other departments to ensure each sample is prepped correctly.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience within a Lab is not required. Full training will be provided.
  • Educated to GCSE Level.
  • Experience in working in part of a team.
  • Good organisation and time management.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Able to self-motivate.
