Job Description
The purpose of this role is to contribute to the ability of the Retail Operations team to successfully meet all targets on time during a period of high workload.
This is a fixed term contract ending 31/01/2027.
This role offers flexible working arrangements and can be undertaken working from home or as a hybrid position from any Eurofins Food Testing UK location.
- Working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 09:00 till 17:00
- Working on an high priority limited-time project involving a wide range of food products as a major retailer transitions to a new product categorisation system.
The task involves mapping new classification names, codes, testing and frequencies with a high degree of accuracy, and amending the customer quote with the appropriate test packages and classification names.
- Working with Excel workbooks enter and change data.
Training and supervision will be provided.
- Assigning testing requirements in accordance with customer standards, specifications and risk-based approaches.
- Maintaining and updating testing programmes by addition of products (e. g. first production / new products) into correct classifications with appropriate test assignment.
- Carry out investigation checks.
- Monitoring testing schedules, sample throughput, and turnaround times.
- Collating and summarising information for e. g. KPIs, Horizon Scanning reports, review meetings.
- Taking responsibility for checking and managing customer-specific inboxes and service requests.
- Being a point of contact for customer testing enquiries, technical queries, and testing programme. management activities, and ensuring prompt responses and escalation as appropriate.
- Ensuring customer satisfaction through proactive communication and issue resolution.
- Contributing as to account review meetings, presentations, and action plans.
Qualifications
Essential
- Experience in test assignment, account management, programme management or technical customer service within a laboratory testing, food retail or food manufacturing sector.
- Good understanding of microbiological and / or chemical laboratory testing process.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Good relationship building skills

- Degree or equivalent qualification in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry or a related discipline.

- Understanding of European food testing programmes and regulatory requirements.
- Commercial awareness and ability to identify business growth opportunities.
