Purpose of the post: Reporting to the logistics team leader at Sheffield, where we specialise in Endoscope washer water testing, you will make collections and deliveries of orange boxes to and from customers around the south, running out of our Sheffield Laboratory.
- Appropriately handling of customer’s samples to ensure they are stowed correctly within the vehicle.
- Ensure collections are returned to site safely and securely, and in the correct location.
- Respond positively to route changes that the company feels reasonable for the driver to complete.
- Carry out daily and weekly vehicle checks, oil, water etc and reporting any defects in a timely manner to the logistics manager.
- Communicate on a regular basis with your team leader making them aware of any delays.
- Report accidents and breakdowns.
- Ensure the vehicle is locked and secure when unattended.
- Promote the Eurofins image by wearing a clean, neat and tidy uniform as provided, and by ensuring your vehicle is maintained in a clean, tidy and serviceable condition.
- Provide a high level of internal and external customer care.
- Partake in any developmental training as required in compliance with the Company Standard.
- Drive Company vehicles in a safe and courteous fashion in accordance with the requirements of the Department of Transport and in compliance with the Highway Code.
- Take all reasonable action to ensure the safety and security of vehicles, equipment, goods, fellow employees and other road users.
Qualifications:
- UK driving Licence
- Experienced with small wheelbase vans as a minimum requirement
- Well presented
- Good time keeping and organised
- Experience of dealing with customers with a polite manner and etiquette
- Able to complete overtime to cover holidays and potentially longer days for bank holidays
