Please note, this is a Fixed Term Contract until September 2026.
Working hours are Monday and Tuesday, 10am - 6pm.
As a Laboratory Technician you will complete, to the required quality standards, the analysis of food samples for a given method using laboratory techniques.
- Registration, preparation and analysis of samples as required.
- Adhering to documented procedures for all aspects of laboratory work, ensuring that all relevant information concerning samples is recorded, that samples are handled correctly.
- Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed throughout the day
- Maintain turnaround time at >99%, ensuring that daily targets are achieved.
- Ensure personal protective clothing equipment is worn in accordance with the Health & Safety policy.
- Maintain a clean as you go mentality
- Provide a high level of internal and external customer care.
- Be available for overtime as and when required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience within a Lab is not required. Full training will be provided.
- Educated to GCSE Level.
- Experience in working in part of a team.
- Good organisation and time management.
- Good communication skills.
- Able to self-motivate.
