Eurofins laboratories work with the biggest companies in the world to ensure the products they supply are safe, their ingredients are authentic, and labelling is accurate.

Unfortunately we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role. 16 Hours per week. Tuesday - Friday. 13:00-17:00

Purpose of the post: Responsible for organising and registering water samples into the IT system. This role ensures accurate sorting, tracking and registration of samples in a timely manner to meet customer requirements. Working closely with other departments to ensure testing timelines are met. Working in line with our Health, Safety and Quality procedure to deliver accurate results in a safe, clean environment.

  • Sort through all sample deliveries and arrange samples in time order to achieve testing in stability where possible. This will require manual handling training.
  • Match sample paperwork to the relevant samples.
  • Register samples into our IT system meeting the testing requirements provided by the customer, always ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Communicate with internal teams or external customers to clarify testing details or specifications if necessary.
  • Troubleshoot any issues related to sample registration.
  • Ensure accurate labelling, storage and disposal of samples takes place.
  • Ensure that registration is completed in a timely manner to allow the sample to be tested within the required time frames as per our quality procedures.
  • Collaborate with other team members and show flexibility to help meet demand and achieve the required turnaround time ensuring results are reported on time.
  • Adapt an aseptic approach to your working environment and ensure cleanliness and hygiene levels remain at a high standard.
  • Take responsibility for your own training records to gain full competency in the tasks you perform and to keep abreast of any updates required.
  • Understand the concept of 5S and adhere to the principles set within your area.
  • Work with the team to drive the department forward through continuous improvement.
  • Work with the team to ensure that all waste generated is removed from the lab via the correct waste streams and seek ways to reduce our carbon footprint.
  • Undertake any other reasonable task or responsibility requested by a senior manager.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a fast-paced working environment and working under pressure to meet demand.
  • Proficient in using IT systems and efficient at typing.
  • Enthusiastic and able to work efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisation skills.
  • Good communication skills and a team player.
