This is a part time, permanent position, we have both shift patterns below available:

Purpose of the post:

  • Support the water chemistry department.
  • Prepare standards and reagents according to established protocols.
  • Perform sample preparation and conduct chemical analysis using a variety of techniques, apparatus, and instrumentation.
  • Accurately enter data into the laboratory database, ensuring consistency and reliability.
  • Maintain precise record-keeping in line with the UKAS quality system requirements.
  • Record and manage sample details upon receipt at the laboratory.
  • Ensure all records meet the requirements for UKAS/ISO 17025 accreditation.
  • Assist with general laboratory housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Chemistry/ Environmental Chemistry or closely related subject is essential.
  • Experience working in water testing would be advantageous.
