The purpose of this job is to support the operation and development of the Chemistry department within pharmaceutical finished products, API and raw materials. Please note this is a full time role working 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The shift pattern will be 09:00-17:15 for four days and 09:00-17:30 for one day.

  • Chemistry testing.
  • Management of chemistry materials.
  • Management of laboratory glassware.
  • Management and removal of laboratory waste.
  • Maintain laboratory log books.
  • Perform required inter-company support activities.
  • Perform LabGuard activities.
  • Report and document any exceptions in the laboratory.
  • Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA).
  • Support equipment calibration, qualification, and maintenance.
  • Responsible for ensuring that UK health and safety legislation is maintained and helping to ensure that the working environment is kept in a clean and tidy manner.
  • Propose and implement continuous improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in life sciences is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a GMP or GLP and Chemistry position preferred if no qualification.
  • Good understanding of GMP.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Demonstrates competency in work.
  • Good communication skills both written and spoken.
  • Ability to follow management directives.
  • Positive, methodical, and tenacious approach to work.
