Scientist- TEM

Responsibilities:

• Reviews/documents testing, observations, deviations, and results clearly and completely, and in compliance with regulatory requirements - striving to minimize errors.
• Understands and performs calculations as required by test methods.
• Understands and utilizes computers for information access, calculations, and report preparation.
• Reads and understands analytical procedures (compendial and client supplied) and internal SOPs.
• Demonstrates technical writing skills and initiates/supports completing investigations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in biochemistry, biology or other related degree concentration.
• Industry experience with TEM, thin line sectioning, and resin embedding.
• Ability to work in the US indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
• Strong computer, scientific and organizational skills.
• Detail oriented and ability to follow lengthy instructions.
• Possess fine motor skills.
• Ability to learn new techniques and instrumentation.

Additional preferences:

• Electron Microscopy Biological Certificate of Achievement.
• CEMT- Certified Electron Microscopy Technologist.
• Resin embedding, sectioning, and grid staining experience in electron microscopy techniques, such as sample preparation for TEM and ultra-microtomy.

Working schedule will be Full-Time, First Shift, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Lancaster, PA are encouraged to apply. 25% travel may be required. This position is NOT remote.
