The Senior IT Enterprise Architect will support the management and evolution of an application landscape serving a wide range of Business Lines addressing a large set of markets with different business models.

Position & Objectives

  • Work with business and technical stakeholders to understand business operation and strategy to frame problem statements or articulate new application requirements with proper justification.
  • Capture the representation of the applications and systems landscape.
  • Analyse application landscape dependencies (technical and functional, application interfaces, program/roadmap).
  • Identify the capabilities and limitations/risks of the current applications landscape used by the business line.
  • Identify synergy or opportunities by evaluating scenarios such as repurposing application assets or innovations within or across the different business lines.
  • Develop recommendations to address limitations or enabling synergies by guiding application roadmap preparation.
  • Support formalisation of scope, drivers, justification of business requirements for application development investment requests.
  • Support Solution Architects in shaping solution design and making application architecture design decisions aligned with business imperatives once investment is approved.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related fields is required.
  • TOGAF Certification is a plus.
  • Extensive functional knowledge in multiple enterprise functions (sales, production, Laboratory, digital …) relevant to Industries with ties to Eurofins markets and customers.
  • Proven success in a growth-oriented business.
  • Exposure to Enterprise Architecture Assessment and Management methods such as TOGAF, etc. (certification is a nice to have).
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Process, Information, Application, and Technology Blueprints preparation.
  • Familiar with Enterprise Architecture blueprint development, governance, and management.
  • Ability to understand business strategy, operations, and technology trends.
  • Business Analysis (business requirement, functional requirements and value engineering).
  • Enterprise Architecture modelling.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex business and technology concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent written communication skills targeting leadership audience (CxO and VP level).
  • Highly tolerant and resilient to volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity. VUCA is not a justification for not delivering.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a focus on driving business outcomes through effective architecture, yet attentive to details.
  • Team player: involves others, builds trust with colleagues, shares knowledge and seeks opportunities for cross-functional working and collaboration.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence decision-makers.
