Upon completion of training and certification, contingent on good performance, the employee will be eligible for a pay increase. Position is full-time; working 8:00 AM-4:00 PM Monday-Friday, with some weekend required overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within commutable distance to Lancaster, PA are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Packages expired chemicals for shipment or disposal.
- Empties satellite containers into bulk containers and takes back to laboratory for reuse.
- Maintains chemical storage area to keep it clutter-free and free of fire hazards.
- Ships hazardous waste from the laboratory prior to the RCRA time limit for the facility.
- Tracks volume of waste generated for reporting to corporate and EPA.
- Prepares and tracks implementation of Waste Minimization Plan.
- Orders and maintains chemical inventory for the laboratory.
- Manages consignment room to keep all laboratory areas supplied.
- Provides assistance to other departments/areas as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
