Purpose of the post: To support and deliver business development activities including the management of incoming sales enquiries. To manage and develop identified customer accounts managing new enquiries, strengthening customer relationships, maintaining existing revenue streams and identifying new opportunities.
- Manage inbound sales enquiries across the detergents category, ensuring every opportunity is maximised.
- Convert enquiries into revenue by proactively issuing quotations and seamlessly onboarding new customers.
- Build and strengthen customer relationships and understanding within allocated accounts to deliver high‑quality responses.
- Grow key accounts by deepening customer understanding and actively forecasting and sustaining business.
- Lead regular account calls and engagement activity to maintain strong client relationships and identify new opportunities.
- Conduct structured annual account reviews to assess performance, identify growth areas, and align on future plans.
- Generate new business revenue by re‑engaging lapsed clients and targeting new prospects.
- Develop and maintain strong understanding of the Eurofins CPT network and laboratory capabilities to confidently position services.
- Liaise with Eurofins inter‑company partners to establish and confirm schedules and test options.
- Ensure smooth project progression by driving the timely completion and return of all client documentation.
- Deliver and support the client / project handover between the sales and operational delivery team.
- Support strategic sales initiatives by working closely with the Business Manager Detergents & Biocides on key growth activities.
- Track all enquiries and key customer data in a timely, efficient and organised manner.
- Assist in identifying trends, insights, and new opportunities for growth.
- Take ownership of group sales targets, including call activity, enquiry follow‑up, and conversion rates, consistently delivering against KPIs.
- Deliver accurate, timely reporting and insights to support sales and management decision‑making.
- Support in the development and implementation of CRM systems.
- Use of CRM, enhancing sales effectiveness and data visibility.
- Support in the planning and delivery of marketing, exhibition and event activity.
- Represent Eurofins at industry events and exhibitions, actively promoting services and building new connections.
- Attend as required onsite client visits.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including MS Word, Excel & PPT.
- Effective communication skills both written and oral.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate to different levels within the business and to gain the confidence of the client.
- Self‑starter who manages own workload in a timely and effective manner.
- Strong organisational, multi‑tasking and time management skills.
