Job Description
Unfortunately we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role. 36.25 Hours per week. Monday - Friday. 09:00 - 17:00.
Purpose of the post:
- Support the water chemistry department.
- Prepare standards and reagents according to established protocols.
- Perform sample preparation and conduct chemical analysis using a variety of techniques, apparatus, and instrumentation.
- Accurately enter data into the laboratory database, ensuring consistency and reliability.
- Maintain precise record-keeping in line with the UKAS quality system requirements.
- Record and manage sample details upon receipt at the laboratory.
- Ensure all records meet the requirements for UKAS/ISO 17025 accreditation.
- Assist with general laboratory housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Chemistry/ Environmental Chemistry or Closely related subject is essential.
- Experience working in water testing would be advantageous.
