Working hours are Monday - Friday, 9am- 5pm. This is a hybrid working role with travel required across our Eurofins UK sites. We welcome applicants from across the UK. The purpose of the role is to support the Group Quality & Technical Manager in the administration of technical issues. This includes validation of new methods, support on client queries, technical support on laboratory issues across the group and technical support for the Sales Team where required.

Duties include:

  • Supporting the Group Quality & Technical Manager to deliver projects across the group.
  • Supporting the Group Quality & Technical Manager to deliver new methods across the group.
  • Working alongside the Group Quality & Technical Manager to harmonise the existing group methods where appropriate and to ensure the scope of testing reflects the business needs.
  • Carrying out verification/validation of both new and existing methods at any or all of the sites.
  • Conducting problem-solving investigations as needed on any of the sites.
  • Supporting the Group Quality & Technical Manager in investigating client technical queries.
  • Ensuring compliance with the 17025 standard at all times by adhering to the in-house quality procedures provided.
  • Streamlining operational processes and making good use of IT to achieve high efficiency.
  • Responsible for adhering to all company standards in the area of safety, housekeeping, and quality, notifying management of any discrepancies.
  • Being an Internal Auditor for all sites.

Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level in microbiology or related discipline and relevant experience of quality systems.
  • Working knowledge of Water Microbiology laboratories accredited to ISO17025.
  • Experience of working in a UK accredited microbiology laboratory.
  • Considerable practical expertise in a Technical laboratory role.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
