Eurofins PSS is recruiting for multiple Analytical Scientists with a range of experiences from recent graduates to experienced scientists to provide on‑site analytical support as a Eurofins Managed PSS Scientist, based at the Bristol Myers Squibb Moreton facility in the Wirral. This position is a fully employed Analytical Scientist by Eurofins PSS, supporting services delivered to our client on their site.

As an Analytical Scientist, you will be responsible for performing routine, non‑routine and stability testing on finished pharmaceutical products, ensuring accurate, timely results in line with GMP expectations.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and non‑routine analysis of pharmaceutical products using a range of analytical techniques (primarily HPLC, Dissolution, and Karl Fischer).
  • Support technology transfers for new products entering the team, ensuring smooth implementation and alignment with client procedures.
  • Support analytical development and validation activities.
  • Review analytical data for GMP compliance and initiate or follow up on OOS results and action limits when required.
  • Document data in accordance with current client policies and procedures and prepare/approve results for tests in which you are trained and deemed competent.
  • Maintain productivity through agreed metrics (test numbers, cycle times) and support audits, method revisions, and testing of QC samples.
  • Liaise with client representatives, provide updates to designated personnel, support continuous improvement initiatives, and work flexibly in line with business needs.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
  • Strong fundamental knowledge of Chemistry with deep understanding of analytical techniques and chromatographic principles.
  • Previous experience within a pharmaceutical testing laboratory (preferably solid dose) and competence with techniques such as HPLC, Dissolution, Karl Fischer and UV.
  • Knowledge of working within a GMP environment, interpreting raw data, troubleshooting analytical or instrumental issues, and completing documentation accurately.
  • Capability to work with electronic laboratory systems (ELNs, LIMS) and MS Office applications, working proactively, independently, and as part of a team.
  • Flexible approach, able to switch priorities at short notice and motivated to contribute ideas to improve existing processes.
  • Passionate about quality and customer service, consistently striving to meet or exceed expectations while supporting the delivery of a high‑performing laboratory service.
  • Strong communication skills, both internally and externally, ensuring clear, professional and timely interactions with colleagues, stakeholders and customers.

This is a permanent full‑time position, working a 35 hour week, 7 hours per day flexibly between 7am & 7pm on 5/7 days as per business needs.
