Euroclear UK and International (EUI) is embarking on an exciting multi-year business transformation programme, with technology change at its heart. Group Business Solutions (GBS) provides technology delivery services to EUI and is currently working on a modern Java microservice-based implementation to replace the existing platform, with an increasing use of Artificial Intelligence to accelerate delivery.
We are seeking talent summer interns to join us on our journey, working from our office in the City of London.
What’s in it for you?
- You will work on one or more teams (we call them squads) on exciting technology projects.
- You will have the opportunity to get hands‑on with some or all of the below activities, whilst learning more about the world of post-trade settlement:
- Develop Java coding skills
- Real-world application of AI tools
- Gain exposure to CI/CD practices and tools
- Gain experience of the Solution Architect role
- Contribute to the high-profile Engineering Modernisation and/or Test Transformation initiatives
Who are we looking for?
- Penultimate-year undergraduate in Computer Science or a related subject
- On course for a 2:1 or above
- Experience of developing software using Java
- Strong passion for technology
- Interest in Financial Services
- Strong interpersonal effectiveness and communication skills
- Effective and creative problem-solving skills
- Able to work as a team or individually
- Are available throughout July and August
It would be even better if you have any of the following:
- Interest in or practical exposure to Artificial Intelligence
- Experience of technology outside of your course e.g. contributions to own projects, Open Source initiatives etc.
