Role: Retail Sales Assistant
As a Retail Sales Assistant at eurochange, you will be the trusted face of our business, building genuine rapport with customers to provide expert advice tailored to their needs. You’ll create memorable experiences by sharing knowledge, offering the right products, and ensuring every interaction is warm, friendly, and professional. With full training and support, you’ll learn to exceed expectations and achieve targets while growing your skills and contributing to a safer, secure, and inviting bureau. Our Retail Sales Assistants work a mix of weekdays, weekends, and bank holidays.
Responsibilities include supporting customers’ travel plans, providing accurate information on exchange rates and currency options, processing transactions in compliance with financial regulations, keeping the bureau secure and welcoming, and promoting additional products and services to enhance the customer journey. You may also support onboarding of new colleagues and cover nearby branches when required.
Key activities you’ll support include:
- Delivering outstanding, friendly service to convert first-time customers into loyal fans
- Building rapport to understand travel plans, needs, and concerns
- Recommending the best products and services for each customer
- Engaging in conversational selling to match products naturally to customer needs
- Providing trusted advice on exchange rates and currency options
- Processing transactions accurately and in full compliance with regulations
- Maintaining a secure, presentable, and welcoming bureau
- Promoting additional products and services to enhance the customer journey
- Taking ownership when management is away to keep the bureau running smoothly
- Supporting onboarding of new colleagues and sharing knowledge with the team
- Being flexible to work in nearby branches as needed
