Lecturer in DClinPsy (E&S) in Exeter

This 0.9 FTE part-time post is immediately available on a fixed term basis to cover a maternity until 24 September 2027. Salary will be £43,482 per annum pro rata on Grade F subject to knowledge, skills and experience. The post of Lecturer supports the delivery of the DClinPsy Programme and includes:

• Supporting and designing the delivery of research teaching and training, across qualitative and quantitative methods, and systematic literature reviews.
• Teaching, supervising and examining in both quantitative and qualitative research methods.
• Contributing to teaching and supervision on related postgraduate programmes in the Clinical Portfolio.
• Developing and implementing innovative teaching practices, both in person and virtual, across the Faculty.
• Attending regular team meetings and collaborating with other Research Team members and colleagues external to the University, to ensure high-quality research training related to Forensic Psychology.
• Participating in the full range of research-support activities provided on the programme, including providing teaching sessions and one-to-one supervision of DClinPsy Trainees to produce small-scale Quality Improvement Studies, Systematic Literature Reviews and Empirical studies that comprise their PGR Doctoral thesis.

For a Lecturer post you will:

• Possess sufficient breadth or depth of specialist and core knowledge in the discipline, demonstrated by a PhD, Professional Doctorate or equivalent in Clinical Psychology to develop teaching programmes, and teach and support learning.
• Use a range of delivery techniques to enthuse and engage students.
• Participate in and develop external networks, for example, to contribute to student recruitment, secure student placements, facilitate outreach work, generate income, obtain consultancy projects, or build relationships for future activities.
• Have evidence of excellent teaching identified by peer review and have made an impact at discipline programme level beyond their own teaching.
