This 0.7 FTE post is available immediately on a permanent basis. Salary will be £43,482 grade F, pro rata, subject to knowledge, skills, and experience. We welcome applications from candidates interested in working part-time hours.
The post of Lecturer in DForenPsy supports the delivery of the research modules on the Doctor of Forensic Psychology programme. The role involves:
- Supporting and designing the delivery of research teaching and training across qualitative and quantitative methods, and systematic literature reviews.
- Teaching, supervising, and examining in both quantitative and qualitative research methods.
- Contributing to teaching and supervision on related postgraduate programmes in the Clinical Portfolio.
- Developing and implementing innovative teaching practices, both in person and virtual, across the Faculty.
- Attending regular team meetings and collaborating with other Research Team members and colleagues external to the University.
- Participating in the full range of research-support activities provided on the programme, including providing teaching sessions and one-to-one supervision of DForenPsy Trainees.
For a Lecturer post you will:
- Possess sufficient breadth or depth of specialist and core knowledge in the discipline, demonstrated by a PhD or Professional Doctorate (or nearing completion).
- Use a range of delivery techniques to enthuse and engage students.
- Participate in and develop external networks to contribute to student recruitment, secure student placements, facilitate outreach work, generate income, obtain consultancy projects, or build relationships for future activities.
- Have evidence of excellent teaching identified by peer review and have made an impact at discipline programme level beyond your own teaching.
