Role Overview

Multi‑Skilled Mobile Fabric Engineer – Full time, on site in Stoke‑on‑Trent, ENG, GB.

This mobile role involves travelling between client sites, carrying out planned and reactive building fabric maintenance works to keep properties safe, compliant and maintained to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive fabric repairs.
  • Undertake general building maintenance including carpentry, plumbing, decorating, and minor repairs.
  • Repair and maintain doors, locks, ironmongery, flooring, ceilings, walls, partitions, and fixtures.
  • Complete basic plumbing tasks: tap replacements, toilet repairs, leak investigations and pipework repairs.
  • Carry out tiling, patch plastering, silicone sealing and general finishing works.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs.
  • Conduct site inspections and identify building fabric defects.
  • Complete job sheets, service reports and maintenance records accurately.
  • Liaise professionally with clients and site personnel.
  • Ensure all works are completed in accordance with health and safety requirements.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Fabric Engineer, Building Maintenance, Carpenter or Multi‑Trade role.
  • Strong carpentry and general building maintenance skills.
  • Competent in basic plumbing repairs and maintenance.
  • Experience working within commercial property environments.
  • Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Trade qualification in Carpentry, Joinery, Plumbing or Building Maintenance.
  • Experience within facilities management or property maintenance.
  • Knowledge of building maintenance.
  • Experience with minor plastering and tiling repairs.
  • PASMA, IPAF or other relevant industry certifications.
