About the Role

Looking for a Freight Operations Lead to oversee day-to-day freight activities and help ensure shipments move efficiently from booking through final delivery.

You will coordinate import and export operations, support the wider freight team, resolve operational issues, and maintain strong service standards across carriers and customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Freight Coordination: Manage daily air, sea, and road freight movements and monitor shipment progress.
  • Operational Leadership: Support and guide freight coordinators while helping prioritise workloads.
  • Documentation: Ensure shipping, customs, and transport documents are complete and accurate.
  • Issue Resolution: Handle delays, carrier issues, customs queries, and customer escalations.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track service levels, shipment status, and operational KPIs.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with customers, carriers, customs agents, warehouses, and internal teams.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience: Previous experience in freight forwarding, logistics, shipping, or international transport operations.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of import/export processes and freight documentation.
