The Registered Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and operation of the supported accommodation service for young people aged 16–18. The post holder will ensure the service complies with all relevant legislation, regulations, quality standards, and organisational policies, whilst providing a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment that promotes positive outcomes and independence for young people. The Registered Manager will lead and develop a high‑performing team, ensuring that young people receive person‑centred support that enables them to achieve their full potential and successfully transition into adulthood.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Management
    • Provide effective leadership and direction to all staff within the supported accommodation service.
    • Create a positive, inclusive, and child‑centred culture throughout the service.
    • Recruit, supervise, develop, and retain a skilled and motivated workforce.
    • Conduct regular supervision, performance reviews, and staff development meetings.
    • Ensure staffing levels are maintained to meet the needs of young people and regulatory requirements.

    • Maintain registration requirements and ensure compliance with supported accommodation regulations, standards, and guidance.

  • Essential Qualifications
    • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent relevant qualification).
    • Evidence of ongoing professional development.
