Are you a Software Engineer / Control Systems Engineer / Model Based Software Development Engineer / Automotive Systems Engineer that wants to work on the very latest, cutting-edge hybrid electric vehicle and battery electric vehicle technology projects? Do you have a background in embedded software development for automotive / vehicle systems for hybrid electric vehicles and battery electric vehicles?
This Software and Controls Engineer job will involve:
- Development of vehicle control unit (VCU) embedded software for xEV vehicle platforms.
- Support the generation of embedded software requirements, implementation, and test.
- This will include the full project lifecycle from initial enquiry to delivery on an incredibly diverse range of vehicle technology development projects.
- Software function design, implementation, and verification using Matlab / Simulink / Stateflow and ideally C language for xEV vehicle control units.
- Supporting the generation of system or software level requirements.
- Verification and validation of controls software.
- Conducting software / hardware integration and testing on HiL rigs.
- Conducting prototype integration and testing on full scale prototype vehicles.
This Software and Controls Engineer job will suit:
- A Model-Based Software Development (MBD) Engineer / Controls Engineer / Systems Engineer.
- You will have strong experience of using Matlab / Simulink / Stateflow.
- C programming experience would be preferred but not absolutely essential.
- You will be degree qualified in a software engineering, electrical engineering, electronic engineering, automotive engineering, systems engineering, or similar engineering discipline.
