The ideal background and skills required are based around the following engineering design hard skills coupled with the soft skills of design innovation, team working and proactive mindset:
- Engineering degree, HND or Level 4 Engineering Apprenticeship.
- Design engineering 3D CAD drawing skills; creating & updating electromechanical engineering 3D CAD models and technical drawings. Solidworks ideally, but any engineering 3D CAD package is fine.
- Eye for detail and ability to complete designs & documentation on time as part of a team project.
