Day shift role within a growing manufacturer who are expanding. Chance to develop and learn new skills. Very friendly working culture.

We are currently working with an established engineering manufacturer to help recruit for a skilled Sheet Metal Worker. The position has been created due to growth. Chance to be part of a smaller, friendly working team.

Salary: c£38,000 to £40,000 depending on experience. The company have an internal grading system to show how you can progress.

This Metal Fabrication Technician job will suit:

  • Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication and welding environments.
  • Strong understanding of sheet metal properties, fabrication techniques, and machining operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately.

The Metal Fabrication Technician job will involve:

  • Set up and operate fabrication equipment such as press brakes, plasma cutters, sheet rollers.
  • Interpret and work from technical drawings and CAD files to produce sheet metal components.
  • Perform welding and fabrication tasks on a variety of metals, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Repair and fabricate metal parts using various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, and Laser welding (laser not a mandatory skill but is used for some of our welding processes, training will be provided).
