The predicted salary is between 36000 - 54000 £ per year.
Up to £45,000 salary guide (depending on experience) + company pension + 32 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays).
Dayshift: Monday to Thursday 07:15-15:45, Friday 07:15-12:00. Potential for some Hybrid Flex (TBC).
Precision engineering manufacturer supplying complex components into aerospace and high-integrity engineering sectors.
This is a pure estimating position - no CNC programming required - focused on pricing complex machined components from customer RFQs.
Your background as a Manufacturing Estimator:
- Previous experience estimating within a CNC machining or precision engineering environment.
- Strong understanding of machining processes including turning, milling, mill-turn and up to 5-axis machining.
- Confident interpreting engineering drawings, tolerances and specifications.
- Good commercial awareness when assessing cost, risk and manufacturability.
- Experience within aerospace or high-integrity manufacturing is highly desirable.
- Suitable engineering qualification (HNC/HND etc) would be desirable.
Manufacturing Estimator responsibilities:
- Produce accurate and competitive cost estimates from customer RFQs.
- Review drawings and technical documentation to determine manufacturing routes and costs.
- Estimate material, machining time, subcontract processes and overheads.
- Support quotation activity for new and repeat business.
- Work closely with engineering, production and commercial teams to ensure realistic pricing.
