Do you have a background in embedded software development for automotive / vehicle systems for hybrid electric vehicles and battery electric vehicles?
Lead Software Engineer responsibilities:- A great opportunity for a Software Engineer to work on the full project lifecycle from initial enquiry to delivery on an incredibly diverse range of vehicle technology development projects.
- Software architectural design, strategy development, software component design, implementation, and verification using Matlab / Simulink / Stateflow and C language for the development of vehicle control units for hybrid and electric vehicles.
- Developing safety related road going control systems and developing software for off-highway / mobile machinery applications.
- Prototype integration and testing on full scale prototype vehicles in state-of-the-art facilities.
- Providing technical leadership, support, and guidance to Software Engineers on a project-by-project basis.
- A Software Engineer / Software Developer / Systems Engineer with experience of developing control strategies / embedded software for automotive or other vehicle applications (off-highway / military etc).
- You will have strong experience of using Matlab / Simulink.
- C programming experience.
- You will be degree qualified in a software engineering, electrical engineering, electronic engineering, automotive engineering, systems engineering, or similar engineering discipline.
- You must be eligible for UK defence security clearance.
