You will work within a technical support / technical service team that provides engineering support for electrical systems / control systems installed across the UK rail sector. You will also work alongside project teams to carry out in-house testing and onsite commissioning activities. Truly varied role for an Electrical Engineer / Electronics Engineer.
The Technical Support Engineer job will suit candidates with an electrical engineering / electronics engineering / control systems background who would enjoy a truly varied engineering role including product service and repair, providing product technical support to customers and engineering teams, product testing, and onsite support.
Specific knowledge of PLC programming, control systems, SCADA systems or similar technology would be advantageous. You are likely to hold a relevant engineering qualification in electrical engineering, electronics engineering or a similar engineering discipline. Able to undertake some UK travel from time-to-time. You will need a Full UK driving license.
This Technical Support Engineer role will involve:
- Providing product maintenance support to the rail systems engineering team.
- Carrying out planned service and repair of industry-leading products and systems.
- Providing some onsite commissioning support to engineering teams as required (not frequent / heavy amount of travel).
- Communicating with internal engineering teams and customers.
