Hybrid but Luton on site majority of time. Must have CIPD level 5 +. £50,000 approx. but still TBC. Newly created role. Initially Fixed term contract 9 to 12 months but possibility of permanent.
Are you local to Luton and want to work for a very fast paced and agile SME which is part of a FTSE 250 PLC? Alternatively, you might be a HR manager or HR generalist looking for a really good growth focused business.
You will need to be CIPD level 5 + and have good generalist HR experience. You must have good broad ER experience, coaching and supporting line managers across disciplinary, grievance, performance, and absence management.
What you’ll do in this HR Advisor role:
- Be the first point of contact for HR queries, providing pragmatic, solution-focused guidance.
- Lead Employee Relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, and absence management.
- Conduct and oversee investigations, producing clear and actionable reports.
- Coach and support managers on ER processes, performance management, and absence.
- Deliver engaging HR training sessions and develop practical guides and toolkits.
- Support recruitment processes, from agency briefings to interviews and selection.
- Contribute to wellbeing, engagement, and wider HR initiatives across the organisation.
What we’re looking for:
- Within 15 miles of Luton - you need to be on site in Luton a really good chunk of time.
- Proven HR experience, ideally with a strong background in Employee Relations.
- Ideally some experience of 'tangible operations', i.e. manufacturing, logistics, engineering, construction etc.
- Confident in handling sensitive and complex HR issues with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation and best practice.
- Excellent communication and coaching skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with the HR team.
