Sales Manager\\n\\n * Senior Sales Manager, Technical Sales Manager, Business Development Manager or similar.\\n\\n * Working closely with the Managing Director of an SME Technology business, you will be responsible for the sales & marketing function and developing the sales strategy.\\n\\n * Well established, highly successful & profitable business, market leader in their niche industry, 90% of business through existing customers, they have an excellent reputation.\\n\\n * Consultative, relationship building, solutions-based sales approach – you will need some knowledge or exposure to Electronics, Communication systems, electrical engineering or similar.\\n\\n * Selling into the Defence and Marine industries.\\n\\n * Based from Southampton. Some travel across the UK to customer sites but not extensive.\\n\\n * £55,000 – £65,000 Salary guide – this is an approximate guideline and will still need defining.\\n\\nWe are currently recruiting for a Sales Manager position within an established SME that provide a range of navigation and communication systems to a range of naval units.\\n\\nDue to continued growth, the business is looking for an experienced sales professional who can oversea and manage the Sales & Marketing function of the business, working closely with the Managing Director to develop the strategy but also managing customer relationships. Focus on developing new business through existing customer accounts but also trying to win new customers within new markets.\\n\\nExcellent headroom and progressional opportunities within the business, this role is expected to develop into a senior leader / director level type position in the future – you will have a real impact on the direction and growth of an SME technology business within the defence industry.\\n\\nThis Sales Manager job will suit:\\n\\n * An experienced Sales professional, Technical Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Business Development Manager or similar.
Heading up the sales function of a business, managing the process NOT management of a team.\\n\\n * Ideally have some prior experience working within the Defence or Marine Sector and have some form of experience with associated electronics or communication systems used in naval units e.g. navigation systems, CCTV, Radar etc. We don’t need you have experience across all of these areas as wider development can be offered where needed.\\n\\n * Based within a commutable distance of Southampton.
There will be travel with the role but predominantly you will be based within Southampton or the surrounding areas.\\n\\n * Someone looking for a step up into senior leadership or director level type positions. There is excellent scope to grow within the business and be responsible for shaping its strategy and future success!
