Are you looking for a role where you can take ownership of exciting IT projects and see them through from start to finish? This Project Engineer position offers the chance to join a well-established IT services provider, delivering a wide range of infrastructure and cloud solutions for clients across the UK.
As a Project Engineer, you will be involved in everything from migrating systems into Azure to upgrading virtual environments and strengthening networks. You’ll work directly with customers, making sure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standard.
This is a hands-on role where you won’t just be following instructions. You’ll be leading the technical delivery and making a real impact.
What you’ll be doing
* Taking responsibility for full project lifecycles, from scoping and planning through to delivery and handover.
* Implementing solutions across Windows Server, VMware, Active Directory, SQL, networking and cloud platforms.
* Acting as the lead Project Engineer on customer projects, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
* Building strong client relationships and keeping stakeholders updated throughout.
* Supporting and mentoring junior engineers as part of the wider team.
* Providing clear reporting on progress and project pipelines.
What you’ll bring
* Previous experience as a Project Engineer delivering IT infrastructure or cloud projects.
* Solid knowledge of Windows Server, VMware, Active Directory, networking, SQL and Microsoft technologies.
* Experience with Azure (IaaS and AVD) is highly desirable.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical solutions in a straightforward way.
* Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
* Project management qualifications such as Prince2 or APM would be a plus.
