This is a varied Operations role and does need someone who is versatile and used to working within a smaller management structure.
We are working with a precision engineering business who are looking to recruit for a versatile Operations Director to help oversee change during an exciting time for the business having secured several high value projects.
Salary & Hours: c£80,000 as a guide + car allowance + 10% pension. 25 days holiday + banks. Day shift with an early Friday finish.
This Operations Director job will suit:
- Demonstrable experience within a Senior Ops / Operations Director position within a precision engineering environment.
- Ability to work with data and detail in a repeatable order manufacturing process.
- Drive a culture of delivering the product on time, in full to the right standards.
- Develop a motivated, high performing team to increase efficiency across manufacturing operations.
- Promote continuous improvement, health and safety, and productivity.
- Engage with people, encouraging production teams to question the current process and explore opportunities to improve.
- An understanding of fixed process manufacturing such as that found in automotive, aerospace or safety critical equipment manufacturing.
The Operations Director job will involve:
- Leading strategic Operational initiatives to drive continuous improvement activities and optimise performance and reduce overall costs.
- Oversee CAPEX projects and changes as the business scales up for new project work.
- Review process to optimise machine cycles / processes where possible.
