Hybrid role based in Luton, requiring on-site presence for the majority of the time. Must have CIPD level 5+ and good generalist HR experience.

Salary: £50,000 approx. (to be confirmed). Initially a fixed-term contract of 9 to 12 months with the possibility of becoming permanent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the first point of contact for HR queries, providing pragmatic, solution-focused guidance.
  • Lead Employee Relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, and absence management.
  • Conduct and oversee investigations, producing clear and actionable reports.
  • Coach and support managers on ER processes, performance management, and absence.
  • Deliver engaging HR training sessions and develop practical guides and toolkits.
  • Support recruitment processes, from agency briefings to interviews and selection.
  • Contribute to wellbeing, engagement, and wider HR initiatives across the organisation.

Requirements:

  • HR Manager or Senior HR Business Partner within 15 miles of Luton, with significant on-site presence required.
  • Proven HR experience, ideally with a strong background in Employee Relations.
  • Experience in 'tangible operations' such as manufacturing, logistics, engineering, or construction.
  • Confident in handling sensitive and complex HR issues with professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation and best practice.
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with the HR team.
