Salary guide £35,000 – £40,000 depending on experience (some flexibility).

You will be part of a small, highly skilled team bringing a revolutionary technology to market following recent UKCA approval, with UK rollout underway and international expansion planned.
This Software Engineer job will suit:
- A Software Engineer or Computer Scientist with some experience developing software in a regulated environment (medical devices, aerospace, automotive or similar).
- Software Engineers familiar with developing software to industry standards as well as structured, test-driven processes.
- Candidates with strong mathematical and statistical skills, who can apply this to algorithm development.
- Those with a degree in a relevant discipline (2.1 minimum).
- Experience in C/C++, Python, MATLAB or similar languages.
- Self-motivated engineers comfortable working with minimal supervision in a fast-paced startup environment.
This Software Engineer job will involve:
- Development of software for current and future diagnostic instruments, including middleware, firmware and algorithm development.
- Writing well-documented, maintainable, and test-driven code in line with medical device & industry specific standards (e.g. IEC 62304, ISO 13485, ISO 14971).
- Development and execution of unit, sub-system and system-level test plans.
- Supporting software integration with hardware and electromechanical systems.
- Working closely with internal teams including production, service and commercial teams, as well as external suppliers.
