Field Service Engineer role with a salary of approximately £45,000 - £50,000 plus bonus, overtime, and expenses.

This Field Service Engineer job will suit candidates who:

  • Come from a mechanically biased service or maintenance background; some electrical knowledge would be useful but is not essential.
  • Must have a driving licence and passport due to the travel element of the role.
  • Have a good base understanding of mechanical and electrical systems on special purpose or automation machinery.
  • Could come from an automotive, FMCG, process, or pharma background (or similar).

This Field Service Engineer job will involve:

  • Working both in-house and on customer sites to support repairs and testing of machinery.
  • Conducting on-site installation, commissioning/Site Acceptance Tests, training, maintenance, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Advising customers on operation, maintenance, modifications, and upgrades.
  • Answering complex technical questions on equipment and working with customers to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
  • Evaluating and determining solutions while working as a team or individually.
