Are you an experienced Technical Project Engineer looking for more variety within a forward thinking, growing manufacturer who are very stable?
We are working with a highly reputable, established manufacturer who are experiencing strong growth. In order to help continue this upward trend, they are looking to recruit a Technical Project Engineer who can help across a range of engineering duties. The position will see you work alongside Inspectors and other Engineers to help support customers on projects with quality, testing and technical related challenges. Quality has been a real area which has been invested in within the business and something that is extremely valued as they look to continue their growth. We do need someone who is flexible to support the wider team and happy to wear a number of hats.
Salary & Hours: c£45,000 as a guide (possibly flexible). Working hours typically 8:30am to 5:00pm Mon – Fri.
This Technical Project Engineer job will suit:
- Proven experience within Technical Engineering roles within a metals / manufacturing environment. The position has exposure to Quality, Testing, R&D and other engineering elements.
- Good communicator and enjoys variety. We are open minded providing you have a strong technical engineering background.
- Someone with an understanding of ISO 9001:2015 management system and other quality standards.
- Capability to read and understand technical drawings (some light CAD work), support R&D / Testing processes, and work with relevant EN and ASME standards.

The Technical Project Engineer job will involve:
- Liaising with Technical/Quality Manager and customers where required to determine appropriate needs and expectations.
- Developing and maintaining quality control processes and standards.
- Providing technical advice about the suitability of products for different purposes.
- Making recommendations and advising about product feasibility.
- Undertaking new product research.
- Creating precise designs for components, models, drawings etc.
- Carrying out laboratory-based analysis of samples where required.
- Using both destructive and non-destructive techniques to test composition.
- Developing new test and NPI processes with robust data analysis and reports for these processes.
