You will work within a technical support / technical service team that provide engineering support for electrical systems / control systems installed across the UK rail sector. You will also work alongside project teams to carry out in-house testing and onsite commissioning activities. Truly varied role for an Electrical Engineer / Electronics Engineer.
The Electrical Support Technician job will suit:
- A candidate with an electrical engineering / electronics engineering / control systems background that would enjoy a truly varied engineering role including product service and repair, providing product technical support to customers and engineering teams, product testing, and onsite support.
- Specific knowledge of PLC programming, control systems, SCADA systems or similar technology would be advantageous.
- You are likely to hold a relevant engineering qualification in an electrical engineering, electronics engineering or similar engineering discipline.
- Able to undertake some UK travel from time-to-time.
This Electrical Support Technician will involve:
- Providing product maintenance support to the rail systems engineering team.
- Carrying out planned service and repair of industry leading products and systems.
- Providing some onsite commissioning support to engineering teams as required – not frequent / heavy amount of travel.
- Communicating with internal engineering teams and customers.
