Background
- Previous experience of tooling design / designing jigs and fixtures using CAD.
- Any experience with plastic mouldings / injection moulding would be advantageous.
- Experience using CAD software (PowerShape experience advantageous, but training can be provided).
- Strong planning, organisational, and communication skills.
- A proactive, problem‑solving mindset with the ability to work cross‑functionally.
Responsibilities
- You will play a key role in supporting customers, internal manufacturing and commercial teams with tooling design / jig and fixture design.
- Designing jigs and fixtures and modifying tooling CAD using Autodesk PowerShape (training available if required).
- Overseeing the manufacture of tooling, jigs, and fixtures.
- Providing Design for Manufacture support to customers for both new enquiries and existing products.
- Supporting the Sales team with tooling, jig, and fixture costings for quotations and new projects.
- Supporting the NPI team with technical activities during project introduction.
