Are you a CAD Engineer or Design Engineer or Project Design Engineer who enjoys solving design problems, working on a variety of projects, and supporting wider site teams?

Your background as a CAD Engineer
• As a CAD Engineer you will have experience with 2D and 3D CAD software (Inventor & AutoCAD preferred – training can be given)
• Comfortable working in a support role – helping with projects, factory builds, and layout drawings
• Familiar with steelwork, mechanical or hydraulic equipment
• Good Excel skills – used to doing basic calculations and analysing data
• Keen to learn, improve, and get stuck in across different areas
• Strong communication skills and able to work independently
• GCSEs in English & Maths essential; further technical qualifications are a bonus

CAD Engineer responsibilities:
• Use CAD software to produce site layouts and simple bespoke steelwork designs
• Help the projects team by turning ideas into clear technical drawings and documents
• Support factory builds and installations.
• Organise and update technical files, documents, and drawings
• Assist with compliance documents like risk assessments, method statements, and SOPs
• Work with data in Excel to support decision-making and problem-solving
• Share knowledge through training materials, toolbox talks, and team support
