We are looking for a Business Development Manager / Technical Sales Engineer / Commercial Engineer to support the growth of battery and electrical component validation testing services into the automotive, vehicle engineering, off‑highway vehicle, marine, aerospace, and defence sectors.
Your background as a Business Development Manager:
- We are looking for a candidate with specific battery or high voltage components experience, this can be from an engineering / technical user or commercial / sales / business development perspective.
- The role would suit candidates already working in a business development / technical sales role or candidates working within technical / engineering roles looking to step into business development / sales role.
- Ideally you will have previous experience working within the automotive, vehicle engineering, off‑highway vehicle, marine, aerospace, defence, or similar industry sectors.
- You will have the ability to build strong long‑term customer relationships resulting in the winning of business and future sales growth.
- You are likely to be degree qualified in an automotive engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical / electronic engineering or similar discipline.
Business Development Manager responsibilities:
- Customer account management and new business development for battery and high voltage components testing services.
- Management and development of sales pipeline including identifying and wining new business.
- Develop commercial / sales strategies to target customers in core and synergistic market sectors – automotive, vehicle engineering, off‑highway vehicle, marine, aerospace, defence or similar.
- Developing and delivering commercial proposals – working closely with technical / engineering teams to gain their input.
- You will be working within a consultancy / R&D / engineering services environment so you will have the opportunity to contribute to commercial strategy development and expanding the service offering.
This Business Development Manager job when office based is commutable from Coventry, Leicester, Rugby, Tamworth, Northampton, Birmingham, Solihull, Ashby‑de‑la‑Zouch, Nuneaton, Hinckley, and surrounding areas.
