Your background as an Assistant Project Manager:

  • Any exposure to Project Management, Project support or Project Coordinating.
  • Working within engineering, manufacturing or project based businesses.
  • Graduate in either a business related degree or a technical related degree who is interested in working within project management or a commercially biased role on technical projects.
  • Based locally to Ashby, looking to establish a career within a professional, commercial environment.
  • Any qualifications, modules or accreditations linked to Project Management (APM or similar).
  • Good communication skills. Eager to learn and develop.

Assistant Project Manager responsibilities:

  • To work closely with Project Managers and the project teams to help deliver multi-million pound projects for the transport sector.
  • You will liaise with colleagues, working as part of a team, as well as coordinating with customers, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders throughout a project lifecycle – you will need good communication and organisational skills.
  • Strong IT / MS Office skills.
  • Projects vary in size from £50K to £1m+ project values.
  • Projects typically cover electrical and electronic systems design, test and commissioning of integrated safety, control, and automation systems.
