Quality Manager

Northampton | Multi site UK role | Regular travel required

We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to take full ownership of Quality across three UK manufacturing and distribution sites.

This Quality Manager role is a senior, business critical position with responsibility for upgrading, embedding and sustaining a consistent, compliant and value adding Quality Management System. It is suited to a mid to late career Quality Manager who is comfortable operating at both strategic and operational level and who sees Quality as a driver of business performance, not just compliance.

As Quality Manager, you will ensure product and process quality is compliant, capable and scalable, aligned to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and AS9120 (or equivalent). The role plays a key part in positioning Quality as a business differentiator that supports growth, customer confidence and operational excellence.

Regular travel between UK sites is required to maintain visibility, consistency and engagement with site leadership and operational teams.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Acting as the senior Quality Manager across three UK manufacturing and distribution sites, with full accountability for Quality standards and outcomes
  • Reviewing, upgrading and embedding the Quality Management System to ensure compliance, capability and scalability
  • Leading internal and external audits to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and AS9120 (or equivalent), including corrective and preventive actions
  • Driving continuous improvement in product and process quality, reducing variation, risk and cost of poor quality
  • Working closely with Operations, Engineering and Supply Chain to embed Quality as an enabler of performance and operational excellence

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience as a Quality Manager or in a senior Quality leadership role within a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Strong, hands on knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and AS9120 (or equivalent)
  • Practical experience with Quality tools and structured problem solving methodologies, including 8D, CAPA, FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, Layered Process Audits and poka yoke
  • Experience applying Six Sigma methodologies to deliver measurable improvements
  • Experience leading Quality across multiple sites or complex operations
  • A fact based, standards driven approach, combined with the ability to position Quality as a contributor to growth and customer confidence

Why this role

  • A senior Quality Manager position with genuine ownership and influence
  • Opportunity to shape, standardise and embed the Quality function across multiple sites
  • A business that recognises Quality as a strategic capability, not just a compliance requirement
